Residential Program
Steppingstones is not a hospital-based "inpatient" treatment facility offering medial and detoxification services, but refers out to a number of facilities for this purpose in an effort to match the proper level of care with financial resources.
Steppingstones does, however, offer a Recovery Residence sober living facility through its linked 501c3 non-for-profit company, the Awakening Center, and transports its clients via shuttle the 3 miles to daily Intensive Outpatient treatment sessions. This is an affordable alternative to expensive inpatient treatment if the client is appropriate for this lower level of care.
If the client has medical insurance that covers substance abuse treatment, the client is only responsible for co-pays and deductibles. If not, Steppingstones has a program of matching funds, which the following sliding-fee scale illustrates:
| Combined Family Income | Client Cost for Treatment | STR Matching Funds (if Pre-Paid) |
|---|---|---|
| $90,000 and over | $4900 | 0 |
| $70,000-90,000 | $4410 (90%) | $490 (10%) |
| $60,000-70,0000 | $3920 (80%) | $980 (20%) |
| $50,000-60,000 | $3430 (70%) | $1470 (30%) |
| $30,000-50,000 | $2940 (60%) | $1960 (40%) |
| Under $30,000 | $2450 (50%) | $2450 (50%) |
Steppingstones also "bundles" treatment and residential fees together as follows (insurance may cover a part of the treatment cost but not residential fees):
- 6-week Treatment Program: $7,000
- 4-month Treatment Program: $11,000
- 6-month Treatment Program: $14,000
If your combined family income (of whoever pays the bills) is lower than $90,000 per year, the above totals might be reduced by up to $2,450 depending on the scale above.
